The 2008 Texas State Black Powder Cartridge Silhouette Iron Sight and Scope State Match was hosted by the Yaupon Creed Silhouette Association.

2008 - Iron Sight Match - hosted by YCSA, won by John Knesek.
2008 - Scope match - hosted by YCSA, won by  David Barnes.

2007 - Cohosted by Fort Chadbourne and YCSA.  Won by LeRoy Tanner.
2007 - Scope Match - hosted by Fort Chadbourne and YCSA, won by David Barnes.

2006 - Cohosted by Heart of Texas Silhouette Association and YCSA, was won by David Barnes.
2006 - Scope Match - hosted by H.O.T.S.A. & Y.C.S.A - won by Matt Carter.

2005 - hosted by Heart of Texas Silhouette Association (H.O.T.S.A.) and Y.C.S.A., and was won by Ken Wienken.
2005 - Scope Match hosted by H.O.T.S.A. was won by A. P. "Butch" Ulsher of the Montana Territories.

2004 - hosted by Heart of Texas Silhouette Association (H.O.T.S.A.) and Y.C.S.A., was won by Tom Berwick in a shoot off with David Barnes.
2004 - Scope Match hosted by H.O.T.S.A., was won by David Barnes.

2003 - hosted by Yaupon Creek Silhouette Association, won by Dave Gullo of Ponderay, Idaho, tying last year's record established by Ken Wienken.

2002 - hosted by Yaupon Creek Silhouette Association, won by Ken Wienken with a new State record.

2001 - the 2001 match, once again hosted by Yaupon Creek Silhouette Assocation, was won by Matt Carter.

2000 - The 2000 match, hosted by the Yaupon Creek Silhouette Association, was won by Holly Long with a National Record tying score.

1999    - The 1999 match was hosted by the Yaupon Creek Silhouette Association on their home range and the Brune Ranch & Cattle Company, Columbus, Texas.

1998    - The 1998 contest was hosted by the group at Fort Chadborne and drew more than 50 competitors.  A full write-up of that match, as well as the statistical results can be seen by following the appropriate links.

1997    - The 2nd Championship, was again hosted by THSS, and the match date was moved up to May.  This match drew about 26 competitors, and clearly, the momentum was building.

1996    - The 1st Annual Texas BPCRS Championship was hosted by the Texas Historical Silhouette Association at the Brune Ranch & Cattle Company, Columbus Texas in October 1996.  That first effort brought in 17 competitors, the furthest was from Sonora, Texas.  You will be able to read the match write-ups, where available, and a list of the final standings by clicking on the links presented below.
